Oh Scrap! : Multi Colored Fabrics

When Angela over at So Scrappy announced that April was going to be multi-colored fabrics, at first I was a bit stymied.  I have a whole tub of fabrics I have no idea how to use....but I didn't want to sew with those!

Then I got to thinking about the other big basket of scraps shoved WAYYYY under my cutting table.  It is loaded with baggies of leftovers sorted by collection or designer.  Maybe something in there would inspire me!

In one of the bags I found a bunch of scraps of some Knuffle Bunny fabrics (Mo Willems) for Cloud 9 fabrics.  I knew this would make some cute and quick string blocks.

I added in some gray solids and a few other prints to stretch out the scraps a bit.  I am making 10" blocks so sixteen will give me a 40" square quilt.  I am already off a to great start and hope to have a finished quilt by the end of the month!

For me, I really have to be in the mood to use print scraps! I like where your going with this and the addition of the solids really helps to break it up a bit!

There is Knuffle Bunny fabric? Are you kidding me? I would have bought a lot of it as my grandchildren love the books. It is probably out of print by now. I am too often the last kid on the block seeing new fabric.
